F.A.Q.

In a chestnut shell, what do you do?

We sell Christmas trees and wreaths online. We give away all of the money from the sales of our trees and wreaths to single moms in need in Wedgewood Houston, Edgehill, and surrounding areas.

What kind of trees do you sell?

Our trees are all grade A Fraser firs from North Carolina!

How does the purchase and pick up process work?

Here's a comprehensive rundown:

  1. Determine what you'd like to purchase from our store. We have trees and wreaths of all different sizes. You have until November 26th at 11:59:59 pm to make your purchase.

  2. Wait. Just like when you peeked under your parent's bed and spotted that preemo Christmas present (thanks, Mom) a few weeks early, your tree won't be ready for you until December 1. Once sales have ended, our team will drive to the mountains of North Carolina and return with the most fragrant flat bed truck of Christmas happiness this side of the Candy Cane Forest.

  3. On December 1, come visit us at The Fairground Nashville - from 8:00am - 4:00pm to pick up your tree. We'll tie the tree to your car, load into the bed of your truck, or (as we've done more often than you'd think) lovingly cram it into the back seat of your Honda Civic.

  4. While you’re decorating your gorgeous new tree, we'll take all the profits from our sales and donate them to single moms in need in the Wedgewood-Houston, Edgehill, and surrounding neighborhoods.

What about Nashville Giving Tree's costs? Don't you have to pay for the trees, thus leaving a pretty small profit?

Ah ha!  See, this is where it gets good. Thanks to financial sponsors like Tennessee Steel Haulers Inc, Tarkington and Harwell, and Twisted Pair Media, almost all of the cost are covered. Any donations that come in over our costs are added to the number that goes to help families in need.

Who does my money benefit?

Your purchases will help single moms in Wedgwood Houston, Edgehill, and surrounding communities during the holidays by helping them put dinner on the table and gifts under the tree.

How much of the profits from Nashville Giving Tree go to support single moms in need?

100%. The whole kit and kaboodle. The whole enchilada. All. Of. It!

How do you determine who gets the donations?

We work closely in cooperation with Cottage Cove Urban Ministries, Young Life, Salama Urban Ministries, Fall-Hamilton Elementary Enhanced Option School, Maple Built, and Young Lives. Through their direction, we make the donations to deserving single moms in need.

Is this a traditional Christmas tree lot?

Not quite. Instead of having all of our trees out and available to be browsed, our trees are cut and wrapped fresh in North Carolina just a day or two before they come to Nashville. These are amazing, grade-A trees, but the first time you'll see your tree in all it's unwrapped, yuletide glory is the moment you get it home (and trust us, it's fantastic). Because each tree is custom cut based on your purchase, you must have an order number provided by our website to walk away with a tree.

What if I don't like my tree?

We know buying a Christmas tree sight unseen online can be a little risky.  If you don't like your tree -- for any reason -- let us know and we'll refund your money. No questions asked! We want you to be 100% satisfied!

What happens if I forget to pick up my tree on December 1?

Unfortunately, if you are unable to pick up your tree on December 1 during the scheduled pick up time, you won’t be able to pick it up later or schedule a last-minute delivery. You also won’t be eligible for a refund. But good news! Your forgotten tree will be donated to families in need in the Wedgewood-Houston area.
